The craze for adventure bikes is rapidly growing in the Indian motorcycle market. From city streets to mountain trails, riders are now looking for bikes that offer the perfect blend of style, performance, and versatility. In this regard, TVS Motor Company has launched its first adventure model – the TVS Apache RTX 300.
This bike not only carries forward the legacy of the Apache series but also claims to set a new benchmark in the 300cc segment. Launched in September 2025, this bike is expected to be priced between ₹2.50 lakh and ₹2.90 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a strong competitor to rivals like the KTM 250 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and Suzuki V-Strom SX.
The Apache RTX 300 concept was unveiled at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025, and the bike has been the center of discussion ever since. TVS MD Sudharshan Venu himself was seen testing it, which shows the company’s seriousness. This bike is designed for riders who want to go on long tours but also enjoy everyday commuting. Let’s take a closer look at every detail of this bike in this article.

Design and Styling: The Aggressive Face of Adventure
The design of the TVS Apache RTX 300 captivates the eye. It’s a road-biased adventure tourer that combines Apache’s sporty genetics with adventure-oriented strength. The front features twin LED split headlamps, giving the bike an aggressive and modern look. The transparent windshield protects against gusts of wind on the highway, while the muscular fuel tank provides riders with a strong grip. The combination of split-pillion grab rails and a luggage rack on the side profile makes it perfect for touring.
The bike’s wheelbase rests on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, fitted with dual-purpose tubeless tires. This setup provides good control even on off-road trails. Color options include matte black, glossy red, and silver, giving the bike a premium feel. Overall, the design evokes the Honda Adventure and BMW G 310 GS, but TVS has tuned it for Indian roads. The weight is kept at around 175 kg, making it light and maneuverable.

One user review said, “This bike looks so balanced that it feels like a miniature version of bigger bikes.” Indeed, the styling is spot on – it will not only attract young riders but will also stand out on family trips.
TVS Apache RTX 300 Engine and Performance: Powerful Heartbeat
The heart of the ACHE RTX 300 is its new 299cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder RT-XD4 engine. This engine was unveiled at the MotoSoul 2024 event and produces 34.52 bhp at 9000 rpm and 28.5 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm. A slipper clutch is standard with the 6-speed gearbox, ensuring smooth shifting. Multiple ride modes (Sport, Urban, Rain, and Off-Road) are available thanks to the ride-by-wire throttle, which optimizes performance in different conditions.
A top speed of 140 km/h can be easily reached on the highway, while the low-end torque provides excellent pickup in city riding. Mileage is expected to be 28-30 km/l on the highway and 22-25 km/l in the city. Special engine mounts are designed to control vibrations, although some reviews report some minor vibrations. One tester said, “This engine is better than the older 310cc engines—more refined and torquey.”
The traction control system maintains grip on slippery surfaces, while the cruise control makes long journeys comfortable. Overall, this bike will rival the best in its segment in terms of performance.
TVS Apache RTX 300 Features: A wealth of technology
TVS has made the APACHE RTX 300 feature-packed. The 5-inch TFT digital instrument cluster comes with smartphone connectivity, offering turn-by-turn navigation via the TVS SmartXonnect app, call/SMS alerts, and a USB charging port. The all-LED lighting system makes night riding safer.
Safety features include switchable dual-channel ABS, cornering ABS, and traction control. The suspension setup includes a fully adjustable upside-down front fork and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock, providing comfort on both roads and off-road. Braking is handled by disc brakes at both the front and rear.
Other extras include an optional adjustable windshield and a lightweight alloy swingarm. Users say, “Don’t overload the tech, but do what’s necessary.” This feature list gives it a premium feel without complicating maintenance.
Handling and Ride Quality: The King of Balance
Based on a trellis frame, this bike boasts high ground clearance (estimated at 220mm), making it easy to navigate potholes and off-road. The seat height is 820mm, making it comfortable for riders of average height. The weight distribution is perfect for handling—agile in city traffic and stable on the highway.
One review read, “TVS bikes are always fun to ride, and this one is no exception.” An off-road variant (with 21/17-inch spoke wheels) may launch later, which will please adventure lovers.
